The choices were great and ordering was so easy! After the order, I decided to order matching barstools and was so happy with the results! From start to finish working with Contemporary Craftsman has been great! Chatted and messaged with Laura many times over the course of my order. While shopping brick and mortar stores for a slightly modern contemporary dining set, I found nothing that I wanted. I gave up on the half-baked physical retail offerings. Most were low quality materials with poor workmanship. None fit well in the dining area in physical appearance nor quality with the concept I had in mind. There was also the issue that my family is tall and their size and weight would have ruined most chairs with a few scooches to the table. I wanted a dining experience that would not have a disastrous ending. I truly wanted furniture that would last for years. As a matter of fact, I wanted something that would last forever so I didn’t have to buy more. I found it with Chris and Laura Panjwani at Contemporary Craftsman Furniture. On the front page of their website, there was a dining set that was exactly what I was looking for except the colors. Looking further through the website I found I could choose colors in stain or paint, the best kind of wood needed, and upholstery for the chairs. Turns out they make all kinds and colors of furniture too. I first had contact with Chris and then with Laura. Most of my interactions were with Laura. She was exceedingly helpful and professional helping me choose the right materials and colors. There was no pressure, only answers and ideas with samples sent of wood, paint and upholstery. And then it was delivered. I was delighted. I was/am so pleased with what they created. The workmanship is stellar. I found no flaws in the wood or paint and no flaws in the upholstery. I was kept informed of their timeline. I had to buy a new rug (not in the photo) to showcase their art. Even the professional mountain-sized delivery guy who brought the furniture in kept me informed along his route. The transaction from start to finish was easy and professional. No wonder, of course, that they are highly rated.

I could not recommend them enough. Excellent quality and craftsmanship, beautiful designs and fully custom with wood and fabric choices. We started out with a dining table and chairs, decided after we lived that so much that we ordered a coffee table, and are now considering another set of the chairs for a different table. After sending a request for material and color samples, I still had questions about how to obtain the look I was going for. Chris took the time to speak with me (more than once) about the color and how the grain would look on various types of wood. He explained to me the timeline and date that I would need to order by, so that I could get the table and chairs in time for the holidays. I received it with two weeks to spare and I was thrilled with the outcome! The Millie table and Harvey chairs were exactly what I had hoped for in my dining area. Also, the shipping team was very polite, respectful of my property (so that nothing was damaged while bringing in the items) and made sure I knew how to lock the table leaves in place and made sure I gave the items a good look over before they left. Customer Service is absolutely incredible. They are patient, kind, and knowledgeable. I have not received my furniture yet but I expect it to be perfect based upon the numerous detailed conversations I have had with CC. I stumbled upon Contemporary Craftsman while doing my search for dining room furniture. I spoke to Chris and Laura several times prior to ordering. I must admit I was nervous about ordering furniture sight unseen. My husband and I were building a new home out of state and I was undecided about which size round table would best fit. I ordered several wood samples with stain to make my selection. As you know photos are great but it was nice to have actual samples with wood grain and color! This table is 54” inches with 6 chairs made of hard maple . I opted for a solid top without a leaf. For scale my rug is 9’ which allows for plenty of chair slide. We could not be happier with the quality and the workmanship of these Amish crafters. The feel of the wood is so smooth. This furniture is truly art! I chose my own fabric and sent it directly to the crafters, they did return the extra fabric which is nice to have on hand. Thank you again for making the process easy…

I ordered a beautiful table in hard Maple. It matches with my cabinets and is absolutely gorgeous. The quality is unbelievable. Dealing with Chris was great. My wife and I purchased a table from Contemporary-Craftsman. They are absolutely the best company I have dealt with in years. I wish I could give them 10 stars. We are renovating our home and needed a new dining table and chairs. I researched hundreds of options, because that is what I do. I came across their website because I was looking for real, solid, well-crafted furniture like our parents bought from North Carolina or Pennsylvania decades ago and passed on to children. No veneer, plastic, thin, weak, poorly assembled or artificial faux designs, rapidly assembled by underpaid, unskilled workers. The table we bought caught my eye because it was a unique, stylish piece that had the qualities I was looking for. Contemporary-Craftsman walked us all the way through the process of selecting the style, size, table wood preference, table stain, chairs to go with the table, chair stains, and seat and back coverings. They were sensational, patient, professional, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Our contact even shared pictures of some of her own furniture to help us with the wood and stain selection. It arrived after the promised time and was stunning. The ultimate praise I can give them is for their handling of a small problem we encountered on delivery. A small imperfection in the wood on the base of the piece appeared to us to be a scratch. We sent pictures expecting a refinisher to stain the scratch and we’d hardly notice it. Instead, they researched the problem, determined it wouldn’t be perfect after a treatment and REPLACED the base so we would have a perfect piece. Who DOES that in this day and age. Contemporary-Craftsman have my highest rating possible. This table and chairs will be in my family for many decades. Everyone comments on their beauty and high quality.

After shopping in numerous furniture stores and being disappointed with the quality and price of furniture we decided to go with Contemporary Craftsman. Yes we were hesitant and nervous about purchasing on line. Chris walked us through the whole process and was available almost instantly to answer any questions. He sent us samples of the wood and colors we were considering. We went with Bamboo/Earthtone. Once we decided on the type of wood and colors Chris gave us a delivery time frame. He kept us informed on each stage of the building process. Delivery was within the window time frame and the bed is beautiful and so much better than anything you would find in a furniture store. I would definitely recommend and you will not be disappointed.

My hubby and I just ordered the Concord sideboard and dining table with 6 chairs in brown maple, along with Bella dresser, 2 nightstands, and the City Fog chest. We couldn't be happier. When they first delivered our Concord sideboard, we gasped because the craftsmanship (and those turned legs) were so beautiful. Honestly, that whole set looks like art. Chris and Laura were very helpful throughout the ordering process and we appreciated the obvious care taken in building our furniture. Their prices are very reasonable with great turnaround time. It was a big deal, and certainly a first for us, to make such a significant purchase online without ever having seen the furniture in person first, but the results are superb. We give contemporary craftsmen furniture our highest recommendation.

Many months ago, I came across the Concord round table on the Contemporary Craftsman website. I fell in love with it immediately and knew I wanted it for the new home we were building in another state. Our table just arrived this afternoon and it is absolutely stunning. I found Contemporary Craftsman though a facebook post, and like others have said, I was a bit apprehensive about buying such a large piece of furniture sight unseen, however the whole process of working with Chris and team was easy and pleasant. Based upon what I was looking for, we ended up modifying an existing design that they had in their inventory, and I truly couldn't be happier with the final result. I never thought that I would be the type or person who would custom order furniture, but working with this team was such a great way to get your dream piece of furniture that you cant seem to find in a store. I am sure that I will be ordering additional pieces from them in the future.

Yes, I ordered a table I saw on Instagram! It is fabulous! The whole ordering process was easy, working with Chris on design, size, choice of wood, and finish. We waited just a few months for construction and shipping. The table arrived in beautiful condition, with the kind delivery man joining the legs and table top in our home. The wood (elm) has great depth of color (Michael's cherry) and grain. The construction is sturdy and well built. There are even small wood pieces on the sides that cover where the leaves join the main table top. The leaves are just as gorgeous as the main table, heavy and well-built. We highly recommend this company! We are so happy to be the owners of this signature piece of furniture.

They customized a bed frame for us and it turned out beautifully! The delivery folks were efficient and very careful to make sure the large bed got up our tight stairwell. The finish is very nice to the touch. Even the platform boards are finished to be smooth
